Terranet signs strategic partnership agreement with Qubercomm

Terranet today signed a strategic partnership agreement with Qubercomm. The agreement entails plans to engage in joint marketing initiatives and collaborate on larger product development and delivery projects for key customers. A spin-off of Qualcomm, Qubercomm currently employs 30 highly specialized mesh communication software developers. Qubercomm is run under the leadership of founder and CEO Sudarsan Vasudevan, who for several years, worked for Cisco and Qualcomm in Silicon Valley, USA. Terranet has had a subcontracting relationship with Qubercomm for just over a year for smaller niche projects.

“As we build our portfolio in car-to-car connectivity technologies and secure resources for new customer delivery projects, deepening the strategic and operational engagement between our two companies will allow us to scale more rapidly. Qubercomm is headquartered in Chennai, referred to those in the automotive industry as ‘Asia’s Detroit,’ where major global car manufacturers such as Ashok Leyland and their subcontractors have both development and production plants, making this a particularly valuable partnership for us,” says Terranet’s CEO Pär-Olof Johannesson.
