Jakob Mining Vehicles GmbH launches its mining vehicle TerraCharge at Electric Mine 2026 in Lisbon on May 5–7. In connection with the launch, JMV shows Terranet’s sensor solution BlincVision mounted on the vehicle.
Terranet and JMV have, through a collaboration agreement (Memorandum of Understanding), worked together with a shared focus on improving safety while reducing operating costs in mining operations. In connection with the launch, BlincVision is highlighted to demonstrate how the solution can contribute to mining vehicles and operations.
“This is an important step for us to be part of the launch of TerraCharge together with JMV at Electric Mine 2026. By preventing injuries, safety is improved while also contributing to more sustainable operations. The mining industry is an area where we see clear relevance for BlincVision, and I look forward to seeing how our solution is received by potential customers,” says Lars Lindell, CEO of Terranet.
The collaboration agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) entails no financial commitments between the parties.
The mining industry comprises a large global vehicle fleet, including service vehicles, mining trucks, loaders, and other heavy-duty equipment. The global mining vehicle fleet is estimated at just under 200,000 vehicles, with an expected lifespan of 8–12 years.* These vehicles are a critical part of the production flow and are often used in complex and demanding environments where visibility may be limited. At the same time, each vehicle represents a significant capital investment and is directly linked to operational productivity. Even minor incidents can lead to downtime with a clear impact on both production and costs, making solutions that can prevent accidents particularly important. As automation and electrification continue to advance, the need for advanced safety systems is expected to grow.
